Intro to Backcountry Skiing & Riding
Start your backcountry adventures off right with education from a professional backcountry instructor
Your first step toward winter adventure
Buena Vista Mountain Adventures knows that there are specific physical skills, jargon and information about gear that will unlock your ability. This 2-Day intro course covers equipment selection and use, trip planning, efficient uphill travel, skiing variable conditions, basic avalanche awareness and more.

PREREQUISITES . . .
Skiers and splitboarders should have confidence with their downhill ability and should be skiing blue and easy black, in-bounds terrain, but need not be experts.
