Ditch the lift lines

ski and ride the fresh lines

A private day of backcountry skiing or splitboarding is the best way to explore the heart of the Rockies. This adventure lets you extend your season, enjoy fresh snow, and discover terrain that few skiers and riders ever reach. Each tour is designed for you and your crew. Your guide uses deep local knowledge to find the best snow of the day and selects routes that match your ability and goals. You will spend a full day in Central Colorado’s backcountry, traveling through the Sawatch and Mosquito Ranges. Expect secluded bowls, sheltered glades, and unspoiled terrain along the Continental Divide. Skiers and splitboarders should be confident in their downhill ability, but do not need to be experts or have backcountry experience. From first-time tourers to seasoned skiers and riders, we coach technique as needed, set an enjoyable pace on the skin track, and help you get the most turns with the conditions at hand.

Use snowmobiles to access terrain

For those who want to reach deeper terrain, upgrade to our snowmobile assisted backcountry tour. Snowmobiles extend your access far beyond standard touring zones, bypass long approaches, and open remote basins and upper elevation bowls most travelers never reach. You will still skin and earn your turns, but with the machines doing the heavy lifting on the approach, you conserve energy to ski and ride the best lines of the day. Your guide will teach you how to operate the snowmobile if needed, and fuel is included.
